Grown on slopes of the Cedarburg Mountain Range around Clanwillium, South Africa. Rooibos tea is brewed from the leaf of the Aspalathus Linearis plant. It is believed by the indigenous peoples to have great healing powers. Modern cultivation began in the 1930’s and today is a popular and highly regarded drink throughout South Africa where many call it the “miracle tea.” Rooibos has been shown to be rich in minerals, contain modest amounts of Vitamin C, large amounts of antioxidants and contains no caffeine.
